As a self-declared technophobe this course is rather intimidating for me. I’ve always taken a preference to “old-fashioned” low-tech ways of doing things, one example being the fact that I only recently switched to typed notes from handwritten ones. Despite my tech-aversion, I can appreciate the importance of incorporating new technologies into the classroom, being that electronic devices are infiltrating all spheres of living whether we like it or not. On account of this, my aim throughout the course of EDCI 336 is to further my knowledge of technologies that will enhance my teaching and professional relations. I look forward to learning lots and overturning many of my negative preconceptions!
